What can you do with a Waterjet? Any tile or stone, natural or engineered, can be cut with an abrasive waterjet. In abrasive cutting, water under ultra high pressure is mixed with an abrasive (normally garnet) producing an extremely powerful cutting tool that can be used to cut even the most delicate or brittle material such as glass. Yet, there is no effect on the material itself - no heat affected zone or stress to the material. This means less breakage and lower production costs.
Because waterjet is more productive than other cutting methods, you can greatly improve the yield of material being used. Waterjet can cut without the waste generated by other processes, which translates to reduced cost and higher use of expensive materials. Sink and faucet holes, curved corners, and straight cuts are accomplished in an automated manner, with no tool changes or material repositioning. You can select the area you want to cut through for a specific pattern, all with no programming required. Calypso's automated software makes it easy to learn and operate. And features such as nesting allow for even more effective utilization of all materials.
And, because a waterjet is versatile, it will allow you to add any type of material you wish to your processing capability. Take advantage of a tool that will cut any material you desire, in any shape.
Whether you are fabricating countertops, or creating intricate inlays and medallions, a waterjet is the most versatile equipment you can buy. Durable, reliable and inexpensive to operate, a waterjet can help you expand your business.
